

			Camp Weekend A weekend retreat at a Los Angeles-area camp is a 30-plus-year tradition of our Torah School. This year, we will be at camp from Friday, March 4 through Sunday, March 6, 2011. We return to the facilities of Wilshire Boulevard Temple’s Gindling Hilltop Camp in the Santa Monica Mountains near Leo Carillo Beach. Students in grades 3 through 10 spend the weekend with Rabbi Briskin, Cantor Davidson, Debi Rowe, and their teachers in a relaxed and fun camp setting. It has also been a tradition that college-age students from our synagogue who grew up with Camp Weekend as part of their curriculum return as cabin counselors for the program. Students in our tenth grade Confirmation Class act as CITs. Camp Weekend is an integral part of our school experience. As such, it is a required element of attendance. All students in grades 3 through 10 are expected to attend.
