Temple Beth El

Early Childhood
At Temple Beth El, we encourage our youngest congregants to get involved with our Jewish community through regular programs.

Half Pint Havurah Co-op

Welcoming Shabbat at Temple Beth El
Friday mornings, 10:00 am-noon.
For families with children through five years of age.

Join families with young children for a fun Shabbat experience. Each week revolves around a theme connected to a Jewish holiday or to the weekly Torah portion. We also make our own hallah, create take home art, sing, and celebrate Shabbat with friends.

Cantor Ilan Davidson facilitates this co-op program with the assistance of parent participants. Please contact him cantor@bethelsp.org for more information.

Tot Shabbat
Once per month, we offer a 20-30 minute service for our children ages 6 and under. We use a simple liturgy, sing many age-appropriate songs, and listen to a Shabbat or holiday story. Most months this service is preceded by a family friendly dinner. The dinner begins at 6:00, the service at 6:45 and the night concludes by 7:15, so you can get your children home to bed at a reasonable hour.
