Temple Beth El

Early Childhood
At Temple Beth El, we encourage our youngest congregants to get involved with our Jewish community through regular programs.

Half Pint Havurah Co-op
Welcoming Shabbat
Friday mornings, 9:00 - 11:00 am.
First Fridays at 4:00 pm
For families with children through five years of age.

Join families with young children for a fun Shabbat experience. Each week revolves around a theme connected to a Jewish holiday or to the weekly Torah portion. We also make our own hallah, create take-home art, sing, and celebrate.

On first Friday afternoons, we extend this experience through 2nd grade.
Cantor Ilan Davidson facilitates this co-op program with the assistance of parent participants. Please contact for more information: cantor@bethelsp.org . Check our Calendar for possible offsite locations.

Family Shabbat Services

Our fun and lively worship experience features much congregational singing, a child-friendly liturgy, and lasts no longer than one hour.

  • First Friday of the month 6:30 Family Shabbat Service, including birthday blessings for the children twelve and under and the "not ready for the bimah players" or a performance by our youth choir.
